PADI Instructor Education Course (IDC).
The PADI Instructor Training Course (IDC), is designed to help instructors prepare for the PADI instructor exam. The IDC prepares candidates for the PADI Instructor Examination. Course Orientation

The PADI Instructor Development Course will teach you the basics of the PADI System of Education and Practice. The Dive Industry Overview, General Standards and Practices, Prescriptive teaching, Legal Responsibility and Risk Management, 5 Dive Theories and their practical applications are some of the topics covered in the course. Depending on which focus is being used, the orientation portion of the PADI Instructor Design Course can last up to three days.
Open Water Teaching Seminars
Open Water Teaching Presentations is a requirement of the PADI Instructor Course (IDC). These presentations are critical to the success of the IDC program. PADI IDC candidates should be able to master two skills at once. These skills could be from different courses. They must practice these presentations before taking the IDC. They should also feel confident and have a solid understanding of all the skills they will acquire during their PADI Divemaster Course.
PADI Instructor Development Course requires nine (9) IDC Curriculum presentations. These presentations will be given by the PADI Course Director or IDC Staff. These presentations must contain a Knowledge Development Teaching presentation as well as two Skills Presentations from the Rescue Diver Course. The cost of the PADI Instructor Development Course, (IDC), depends on where you live. The course can be taken in Australia, Asia or Europe. Prices are generally quoted in GBP/AUD and sent to the PADI office in Sydney (Australia). The price can be much higher in some areas than others, so make sure to factor in the cost of living in the location you'll be taking the course. You have two options: you can either attend a local class or take it online.
The PADI IDC price includes application and exam fees. The course materials you need to complete the program are included in the cost of the PADI IDC. While the PADI IDC's prices can vary, most courses include both. You'll be required to pay an additional application fee as well, but you'll receive a discount on the course materials if you're planning to do both. If you want to save on your IDC costs, you can take both the EFR Instructor Rating and the IDC course that offers these courses. PADI Specialties Instructor Rating and the EFR Instructor Rating are included in the PADI International Dive Center price.
