What is ERDI?

ERDI is a leading provider of educational research opportunities and professional development opportunities for superintendents and assistant/deputy-superintendants. This program has fostered dialogue between school district leaders, industry leaders, and helped to improve the quality of education. ERDI hosted its inaugural Thought Leader Symposium. Here, industry and school leaders discussed ways to increase equity in education.

ERDI Programs

ERDI's Programs are a great way to help international students further their education in their home country. ERDI courses may be taken in Finland by students at the University of Eastern Finland. These programs are intended to enhance intercultural dialogue and address environmental issues globally. ERDI courses have been taught by teachers from both countries. This multicultural teaching environment is a benefit for both teachers and students.


ERDI's Testifying in Court will allow students to gain insight into both the criminal legal process and the court system. Students will learn more about the court system, and how to present testimony.

Underwater Crime Scene Investigations Program

The ERDI Underwater Crime Scene Investigation program is designed to help law enforcement professionals acquire the knowledge and skills needed to conduct underwater crime scene investigations. The course will help participants collect evidence, document the scene, provide court-ready testimony, and how to present it. The course is free and open to law enforcement personnel and other emergency service personnel.

Instructors are experts in forensic investigation and will teach the program. They are experts and certified in the area of underwater crime scene investigation. They have extensive experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, and other related fields. They also have extensive knowledge in the science and technology of crime scene investigations. They will be training law enforcement officers and public safety personnel from all parts of the world.

The Confined Spa Diving Ops component

ERDI is a component that teaches students skills and knowledge to safely perform limited confined-space operations. This training meets all OSHA, NFPA, FEMA regulations regarding water rescue. Students will learn how they can respond to different emergencies in small spaces. In addition, they will learn how to decontaminate victims and conduct a thorough search for evidence.
