
White Point dive in Los Angeles is one among the most exciting. It has white bacterial mats along the bottom and is close to the hypo-thermal hotsprings. The dive site also features an old shipwreck, rock reef, and kelp beds. It is also home to giant sea stars, cold water anemones, and urchins. High tide is the best day to dive.
Leo Carillo
Leo Carrillo La is a California state parks located along Los Angeles County's southern coast. It is part the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. The park has 1.5 miles stretch of beach that extends to the Santa Monica Mountains. You will find many opportunities to dive in the clear waters off Leo Carrillo State Park.
Divers can choose three main dive sites in Leo Carrillo. These sites are excellent for beginners with easy entry points. There is ample parking. These sites are also popular for night diving, lobster hunting, and you'll find plenty of marine life.

Santa Barbara Island
Santa Barbara Island is home of some amazing offshore dive sites. These dive sites can be reached by visiting boats. These sites are usually rocky and are good hunting and photography grounds. These areas also have healthy kelp beds, purple hydro coral, and other natural resources. You can also see the ocean from this area, which is great for Southern California waters.
The island offers kayaking and snorkeling for visitors. Tent camping is possible if it's allowed by the weather. The island is home to a large population of pinnipeds including harbor seals and northern elephant seals as well as California sea lions. You can find these animals at the rock areas surrounding the sea-lion rookery. These overlooks are scattered around the island.
Anacapa Island
Anacapa Island has a diverse marine life. The area is home to one of the first Marine Protected Areas in the United States. This area offers great diving for both beginners and seasoned divers. The waters around the island have a moderately warm temperature, which makes them ideal for wetsuit diving. In the autumn and summer, temperatures can easily reach 70° F (21°C). However, temperatures can fall to a low of 50deg F (10deg C) during the colder months of winter. It is recommended to wear a 7mm suit. Visibility is usually at least 100 feet (30M) during these months.
Dive charter boats, as well the Island Packers, can take you to Anacapa. There are many dive sites on the Island, including a 40-foot high arch rock. These sites can also been viewed from the water surface by snorkeling gear.

Veteran's Park

Parking is easy. If you're a first-time diver, Veteran's Park is the best place to start your diving adventure. It is easily accessible with restrooms and parking. The meter will always be checked and there's an outdoor shower where you can wash your gear. The park also has a changing area, but restrooms close at dusk.
