PADI's Enriched Air Diver course
PADI Enriched Air Diver Course teaches students how safe to plan and prepare for enriched-air dives. It is mainly computer-based. The classroom portion takes approximately one evening. The course can be combined with other PADI courses including Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver. You can do your own nitrox dives, or they are included in this course.

This course covers everything, from gas theory to correct mixing of enriched oxygen and how you mark your tank. Learn how to calculate the optimal enriched mix for your depth and plan your dives so that you make the most of enriched oxygen.
After completing an Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver course or SSI’s EnrichedAir Nitrox class, SSI will continue to provide ongoing training that will give you the skills and knowledge necessary to safely use enriched air. It also helps you plan future dives so that you can minimize decompression sickness risks. After you pass the exams and complete the course, the enriched-air cylinder can be used safely.
Online courses for nitrox certification
Online or in a classroom setting, you can earn your enriched aviation certification. If you are taking the classroom course, you will need a dive computer to perform the skills. It will take about an hour to complete the classroom portion of your enriched-air certification. You can combine it with an Advanced Open Water or PADI Open Water course. If time is tight, private classes can be arranged or you can take advantage of online resources. You can also take the course online, and do the nitrox dives offline.
You will need a dive computer, an air cylinder, and a guidebook to complete the course. An app that simulates an air enriched cylinder can be used to practice your skills if you have an online option. The EANx36 cylinder works with both an online eLearning course and a classroom. For the class to be successful, students must reach minimum 12 years old.
