Shark Reef Marine Reserve

There are 125 different types of sharks and more than 5,000 different species of mollusks and seaweed. Heart Reef, a unique formation of corals and fish, is one of the best places to visit. This majestic structure is 17 meters wide and is a sight to behold from the air.
Half Moon Caye Wall
This amazing dive site is home for many kinds of marine animals. A recent discovery shows that the wall is also home to sharks, who have recently named it their new home. Look out for sea fans and brain coral while you're at the wall. You may even spot a turtle or two. If you are feeling adventurous, you might also want to explore the tunnels under coral outcrops.
Yongala
There are many ways to dive on the SS Yongala. Townsville is only 3 hours by fast boat from Townsville. Liveaboards depart every day. Advanced certified divers will enjoy the dives at 30m depth. You can take a day trip to dive the SS Yongala if you have the funds. The trip takes three hours in total and includes two tanks.
Punta Vicente Roca
Punta Vicente Rocca is a unique spot for scuba diving. It is only 200 km from the nearest island. There are several types of sea creatures that can be seen on a dive here, including the Galapagos marine iguana, red-lipped batfish, and schooling black-striped salema. Photographers may also be able to capture the rare Galapagos flightless Cormorants.

Bonaire
Bonaire's beautiful dive sites will amaze divers. The leeward side of the island boasts standout dive sites, including the famous 1000 Steps, which is named for the long, narrow stairway leading to its entrance. With clear water and lots of schooling fish, this site is a favorite among divers and snorkellers. This site is a combination of the popular Karpata dive site and offers spectacular drop-offs as well as massive coral formations.
