White Point is one of LA's most popular dive spots. It has white bacterial mats along the bottom and is close to the hypo-thermal hotsprings. This dive site features an old shipwreck as well as rock reefs and kelp. You will also see giant sea stars and urchins. High tide is the best time to dive.

Leo Carillo

Leo Carrillo, La is a state park located along the southern coast of Los Angeles County, California. It is part Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. There are 1.5 miles of beach stretching into the Santa Monica Mountains. Divers can enjoy the stunning waters off Leo Carrillo State Park.

Divers have three options when it comes to Leo Carrillo. These sites are ideal for beginners as they have easy entry points and ample parking. They're popular for night diving as well as lobster hunting. There's also plenty of marine species to be seen.

Santa Barbara Island

Santa Barbara Island offers some outstanding offshore dive locations. These dive sites can be reached by visiting boats. These sites are usually rocky and are good hunting and photography grounds. These areas also have healthy kelp beds, purple hydro coral, and other natural resources. You can also see the ocean from this area, which is great for Southern California waters.


Visitors to the island can also take part in snorkeling and kayaking. Tent camping is possible if it's allowed by the weather. It is also home to large numbers of pinnipeds such as harbor seals, northern Elephant seals, and California Sea Lions. You can find these animals at the rock areas surrounding the sea-lion rookery. These overlooks are scattered around the island.

Anacapa Island

There is a wide variety of marine life on Anacapa Island. The area is also home to one the United States's first Marine Protected Areas. The area offers diving opportunities that are both excellent for experienced and beginners. The warm waters of the island make it an ideal place to dive in a wetsuit. The surface temperature can reach as high as 70°F (21°C) during the summer and fall. However, temperatures in winter can fall as low at 50 degrees F (10 degrees Celsius). A 7mm wetsuit should be used. Visibility is usually at least 100 feet (30M) during these months.

The Anacapa dive site is accessible by diving charter boats and the island's Island Packers. There are numerous dive sites available on the island, including a 40-foot-tall arch rock. These sites can also been viewed from the water surface by snorkeling gear.

Veteran's Park

Veteran's Park, a Green Space located on Ocean Drive, has a playground as well as fields. This park is great for families who want to spend quality time together. It is also close to the beaches. You can enjoy a stunning view of the ocean at the park, especially on a sunny afternoon. It's open all year round and has lots to offer.

From the parking lot, it is easy to access. Veteran's Park, a great place to start your dive adventure, is ideal for first-timers. You can park easily and find restrooms. The meter is always checked, and there is also an outdoor shower for rinse gear. There's also a changing room, but the bathrooms close at dusk.
