The UIUC Ice Arena is home to many ice skating opportunities. The UIUC synchronized skating team has been nationally ranked and has had their skaters compete at both the national and international levels. Tickets to UIUC’s spring show cost $5 for general seats and $7 for reserved tickets.

First, you will need to make a booking. Visit the Illini Union's RSO Office in Room 284 to make a reservation. Remember to include a list with names and contact information when you reserve ice-time. Additionally, you will need to arrange to have a supervisor present at the rink for any questions that you might have during the rental period.
Center Ice Cafe
The University of Illinois Ice Arena has a Center Ice Cafe that is open to all. The cafe is located adjacent to the Customer Service Office and offers food as well as beverages. The Ice Arena Pro Shop stocks a variety of skating and hockey accessories.

Gas leak at UI Ice Arena
Following a leak at its ice rink, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has sent out an Illini-Alert. The building, located at 406 E. Armory Ave., was evacuated as a precaution after firefighters and Ameren Illinois crews detected a leak. To stop further contamination, firefighters closed a sideway that leads to the arena. The leak appears to have originated below the building.
