You will be able to enhance your technical diving skills by becoming familiar with your gear. You will be able to quickly locate your gear in the event of an emergency. This is a great way to practice using backup equipment. While you shouldn't dive with your backup equipment, you should practice using it when necessary. This will ensure you have a backup set of gear in case something goes wrong.
TDI
Technical divers must also be knowledgeable about nitrogen levels and gas blends. Technical divers must be able calculate the number and order of decompression stops necessary to perform a multilevel dive.

NAUI
The NAUI technical diver skills course takes 20 hours and teaches advanced diving skills. It also includes advanced lifesaving, rescue, or contingency procedures. For this course to be offered, students need to have advanced certification as a diver or an equivalent. It also requires a minimum age and pre-requisites.
GUE
The GUE technical diving skills certification includes skills to perform rescue and technical dive operations. These skills include the ability switch regulators and valves underwater, manage an unconscious diver, and use GUE equipment within the water. Open water skills such as ascent and descent are also required for scuba divers. The course requires scuba divers to be able and competent in open water skills, including ascent and descent, for at least 500 metres (450 meters).
IANTD
The IANTD Technical Diver Program goes beyond recreational diving. It brings a whole new level in safety and comfort to the diving experience. Among other things, it trains its students to use rebreathers, which have cutting-edge benefits, such as extended bottom times and better decompression.
DSAT
In the early 2000s, DSAT TecRec was created to teach technical diving skills. These courses have consistently produced highly qualified technical divers. Its training methodology includes state-of-the-art training materials and a logical integrated course flow. The training levels range from basic to advanced. Students can progress at their own pace while gaining experience at each level.

PADI
If you love diving and want to get more advanced, you can enroll in a PADI technical diving skills course. PADI Tec courses cover everything, from planning your dives through to using decompression tools. You will learn to dive to depths up 50m (165ft), with little to no decompression, and how to use a desktop decompression program. There are several different levels of this course, and the goal is to become a professional technical diver.
