Advanced Scuba Rangers program
Advanced Scuba Rangers Program allows students to increase their scuba diving skills as well as gain confidence underwater. Advanced Scuba Rangers are able to demonstrate their underwater skills to their family and friends. This program is perfect for children with a strong interest and passion in the water.
Two phases make up the Advanced Scuba Rangers program. The first phase teaches students the basics of wreck diving. The second phase of the course teaches them how to research and locate wrecks and prepare for them. They also learn to map different search patterns, estimate distances, and to plan their dives. Additionally, they will be able to assess the dangers of wreck diving.
To become an Advanced Scuba Ranger, first you need to complete the basic Scuba Rangers training. The program typically lasts for five days. The training kit, instructor fees, pool and equipment costs $350. For this program to be eligible, you must have at least eighteen years of age. There is also an optional ranger specialty program that can be added to the program.

Teachers also have the opportunity to take advantage of a free orientation. The orientation takes about 60 minutes and includes an overview of the National Aquarium and its education programs. Instructors will learn safe use of scuba equipment as well as how to use regulators or masks. They will also be introduced to the various types of marine life as well as the importance of equipment care. After the orientation, students are able to visit the aquarium and take part in an educational program.
Learning activities at the pool
Rangers not only learn to dive but also learn navigation and basic underwater searching techniques. They also learn how to use a compass, grid, and square search to find treasures underwater. These skills will be practiced in a pool. After mastering each skill, they will be able to swim a mile with their snorkel, fins and mask. Rangers learn about basic first aid and how they can recognize signs that trouble or stress are occurring while diving.
To learn, you must perform a front or back flip under water. Candidates will need to take a face mask off the pool floor and use it to perform five underwater bobs. You can drop the mask, break the restraints, or touch the sides of the pool if you don't complete the bob.
