Sipadan

Scuba divers can't resist the lure of the reefs of Sipadan, a popular spot in the Philippines. This area is located in the middle of a coral triangle, making it one of the most biodiverse marine environments in the world. This area is home to turtles, sharks, and lion fish. With visibility ranging from 15 meters to 40 meters, you'll have no trouble exploring the underwater world around Sipadan.

Shark Reef Marine Reserve

You can enjoy some of the most exciting dives anywhere in the world, including the Shark Reef Marine Reserve. The marine reserve offers a unique experience as it is home to many species of fish and coral. There are more than 5,000 species of seaweed and mollusks, and 125 shark types. Heart Reef, a unique formation of corals and fish, is one of the best places to visit. This stunning structure is 17m in diameter and can be seen from above.

Half Moon Caye Wall

Many types of marine life can be found at this spectacular dive spot. Recently, it was discovered that the wall is also home for sharks. They have now named it their new home. Keep an eye out for brain coral and sea fans while you are on the wall. One or two turtles might be visible. If you're feeling adventurous you can explore the underwater tunnels among coral outcrops.


Yongala

You have many options when it comes to diving on the SS Yongala. Townsville is just 3 hours away via fast boat. Advanced certified divers will enjoy the dives at 30m depth. You can take a day trip to dive the SS Yongala if you have the funds. The trip takes about three hours total and includes two tanks.

Punta Vicente Roca

Punta VicenteRoca dive site is unique in that it is 200km from the closest inhabited island. On a dive here you can see many different sea creatures, such as the Galapagos marine Iguana and red-lipped batfish. Photographers also have the opportunity to see the Galapagos flightless cormorants, which are endemic in this area.

Bonaire

Bonaire's diverse and beautiful diving spots will delight divers. The most notable dive sites are located on the island's leeward shore, such as the 1000 Steps, which is named after the long narrow staircase that leads to its entrance. This site is loved by divers and snorkelers alike. The clear waters and abundance of schooling fish make it a favorite spot. This site, along with the Karpata dive spot, offers breathtaking drop-offs.
